The rooms created for the organization of society are never particularly random. The entrance is somewhat claustrophobic and appears to have once served as a kind of passage or airlock. But political decisions have been made, which have resulted in the door being locked and the windows being covered with information—in several languages—directing you instead to the National Service Center, which has a completely different design, with a large purple lobby. The space I have depicted is not just a small room; it is also a remnant of an earlier way of organizing society’s efforts for the unemployed. Is it possible to discern the decisions and priorities that have been made in the way the organization is structured?

Rummen skapade för samhällets organisering är aldrig särskilt slumpartade. Entrén är en aning klaustrofobisk och ser ut att ha haft en slussande funktion. Men politiska beslut har tagits vilket lett till att dörren är låst och fönstren är tapetserade med information, på flera språk, om att du ska vända dig till Statens Servicecenter istället, vilken har en helt annan design med en stor lila lobby. Lokalen jag avbildat är inte bara en litet rum , det är också en rest från ett tidigare sätt att organisera samhällets insatser för arbetslösa. Går det att avläsa beslut och prioriteringar som gjorts i organisationssättet?
